What are you doing for your body?
It does so much for you everyday. Perhaps you are not completely aware of it, yet it is there with you always and right from the start. What can you do for the most loyal companion in your life? How will you help it heal, grow stronger, embody more joy, dance, laugh, discover greater freedom and ease, and truly become it's greatest self?
The Nia White Belt Intensive is a way to ignite your body, mind, emotions and spirit. I know that after my White Belt 19 years ago, my life transformed and I danced out onto a path where awareness through Nia infused my work, my relationships, and my overall well being. I was suddenly living in sensation. I was introduced to a part of me I never really paid attention to -- subtle sensations -- and my life has changed ever since. I am stronger, I have more energy now than I did 20 years ago, I listen to the signals that my body whispers to me to inform me of dis-ease. Even more heightened sensitivity has occurred through the years and my continued practice increases my body's signals and my sensational sonar.
I am grateful for all of the messages my body consistently shares with me. My practice of Nia has provided a framework for a relationship with my body of love, appreciation, trust and authenticity. My favorite part of this practice is that all of this happens through movement and dancing ( ! ) -- a stimulating and sensational blend from the martial arts, dance arts, and healing arts
Through the highs and lows I am so filled with gratitude for my body and the signals as sensations that it shares with me of its needs, wants and desires.
